Effective Advocacy requires a disciplined and multi-faceted approach.

To be an effective Federal government relations advocate (lobbyist), it is important to have credibility with policy makers, to have high standards of ethics, to have the ability to work with both Democrats and Republicans, to have the experience to know what is achievable for a client, to have the ability to craft a viable strategy to achieve those client goals, and to be able to implement that strategy successfully.

Before hiring a Federal relations advocate, potential clients should use this criteria to get a good sense of what others say about the person/firm being considered. It is also important for a potential client to know whether this will be a sound investment. In other words, is the advocate likely to provide real value? Results are important—see what we’ve done.
