Alex Cooper joined the TCH Group as Vice President of Government Affairs in March 2011.   Since 2005,  Alex was a Republican Professional Staff  member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where he served under then-Ranking Member, and now Chairman, Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), currently the Chairman of the  National Security, Homeland Defense, and Foreign Operations Subcommittee.  He began his Hill career with the Oversight and Government Reform Committee under former Chairman Tom Davis (R-VA) .   Alex served on the investigation staff and worked on a variety of matters including energy, environment, Native American issues, and financial services. He also was a key GOP staffer on U.S. Postal Service and civil service issues which are within the legislative jurisdiction of the Committee.

Alex is a graduate of the College of Charleston, and currently lives in Arlington with his wife, Maggie.
